Benchmarking UK Supermarket Chain's Hard FM Services
BWA were commissioned to benchmark and test the value for money of a UK supermarket chain’s in-house provision of maintenance services to all their UK stores varying from local scale to super stores. The work entailed the development of a bespoke pricing model based on coding the premises in terms of function, location, size, footfall, etc. etc. against comparative peer data to match the building assets and services. This helped support a business case for change and allowed the client for the first time, to see the value for money characteristics of spend on each major building type.
